A Hopi heirloom prized for its purple-black seeds, used especially for coloring baskets. Ox-Eye Sunflower - Bright yellow-orange flowers bloom endlessly from June to September. It grows pretty much on its own.  Birds love the seeds. Great cut flower with long lasting blooms. Grows 2-5' tall. Self-sows; does not spread by rhizomes.
