It seems farms will release them once every few years to decades so we want them when we can get them. Alertie is an heirloom peony that is dated prior to 1867 as that is the only historical record on file. Alertie is noted to have long slender stems, and the longest of her siblings (Calot, 1867). She has beautiful light pink blossoms.
