'Thomas A Edison' Dahlia (Dinnerplate) - The Thomas A. Edison variety is a stunning deep purple color.  It is very easy to stop and admire the blooms.  You will be asking yourself why didn’t you plant more of these since they are breathtaking. All dahlias offered are grown right on our farm in Cashton, WI. Dinnerplate Dahlias are gardeners' delights all over the globe. They command attention since their blooms can be the size of your dinner plate. They reward gardeners with an abundance of blooms starting in mid to late summer through frost.  Characteristics 40-50” tall Blooms are 6-8” wide USDA Zones 8-10 (Hardy in these zones, lift and store in winter in other zones) Summer to Fall Bloom Duration: Continuous Blooms through frost starting in mid to late summer Full Sun Additional Information Great for Mass Plantings, Borders, and Cutting Gardens. Great for butterflies and other pollinators Ships starting in mid to late March Key Planting Tips Plant in full sun with the crown 1-2” below the soil.  Space Dinnerplate dahlias about 3’ apart from any neighbor. Plant when the soil is 60 degrees, well past any frost danger. Dahlias love rich soil that and dinnerplates thrive in neutral to slightly acidic soil.  You can amend soil with 10-10-10 or something similar. Just make sure the first number (nitrogen) is 5 or 10. You can fertilize every 4 weeks to help achieve large blossoms. Don’t water until the Dahlia sprouts. Copperboy Dahlia (Ball) $12.00
Copperboy Ball Dahlias are sought every year for the mutitudes of blooms they produce and the color that complements so many occasions.  We provide them in clumps the majority of the time. Sometimes they will be stand alone with necks and eyes depending on the season’s harvest.   Ball Dahlias are wonderful plants that provide structure and continuous color to any garden with minimal effort. They reward gardeners with an abundance of blooms starting in mid to late summer through frost.  Characteristics 30-50” tall  Blooms are 1-4” wide USDA Zones 8-10 (Hardy in these zones, lift and store in winter in other zones) Summer to Fall Bloom Duration: Continuous Blooms through frost starting in mid to late summer Full Sun to Partial Shade Additional Information Great for Mass Plantings, Borders, and Cutting Gardens. Gallery 'Renoir' Dahlia (Decorative - Great for Pots) $12.00
Gallery Dahlias are great for containers and edges of borders. Their 16" height makes them easy to care for and place on patios and porches. Get a head start on spring by starting them 2-3 months before your last frost and they will bloom right into fall.  Grown at our farm in Cashton, WI.  'Renoir' is a beautiful small dahlias that provides endless pink blooms all summer long. Linda's Baby's Ball Dahlia soft pink blossoms that are joyous little spheres in the garden will sure delight anyone lucky enough to see these. These nearly perfect globelike blossoms are fun and add a bit of whimsy. Sadly we will have limited availability starting in 2027 as we lost quite a few in the summer of 2025 because of excessive rain.  Ball Dahlias are wonderful plants that provide structure and continuous color to any garden with minimal effort. 'Babylon Red' Dahlia (Dinnerplate) - Bright Red blooms will grace your gardens from late summer until frost! These dahlias are some of the largest available and are perfect for those summertime bouquets.  Plant these where you will enjoy them in the height of their bloom period (That is late summer to early fall)!  We grow all of the dahlias we offer on our farm in Cashton, Wisconsin.  Coming 2027 for availability  Dinnerplate Dahlias are awesome additions to any garden. They provide structure and color to any garden with minimal effort. They do rather well in the back of your beds because of their size or even in stand-alone rows.
