The Ancho Pepper originated in the Pueblo state of Mexico and has been grown for centuries. This pepper is on the lower end of the Scoville index and is commonly used for Chili Relleno for fresh eating. When dried this pepper is referred to as Ancho. This is a wonderfully versatile pepper in the garden and the kitchen.
Instructions - Sow seeds indoors ¼” deep. Peppers germinate best in warm soil, so gentle bottom heat may be helpful until seedlings emerge. Wait to transplant outdoors until soil is warm.
