These bulbs are huge! Size 17/18 means a lot more blooms! Chinese Scared Lily ( 'Narcissus tarzetti’) have been used to celebrate the Chinese New Year for centuries. They are a member of the Paperwhite family and are beautiful in potted arrangements and will brighten any room.
The Chinese culture have been planting this for centuries and because it blooms so early it became associated with the Chinese New Year. Chinese-American immigrants continued this tradition here in America, and often would give them to their neighbors (Chinese and non-Chinese) to celebrate their New Year.
Place bulbs on top of 2” of potting soil, place soil or decorative rock to cover the base of the bulbs. Leave the top part of the bulb exposed. Water well and place in a cool dark place for 10 days. Then place in a sunny location and in a few weeks you will have dozens of beautiful scented blooms.
