Tom Thumb Bibb Lettuce (Butterhead), pre-1850 Heirloom, Organic

Southern Exposure Seed Exchange - 48 days. Pre-1850 heirloom, Space-saving miniature butterhead. Apple-sized head can be used whole in individual salads. Tender leaves are medium-green and crumpled. Popular in some restaurants. This mini liettuce was grown by Thomas Jefferson. 

Characteristics: 

Instructions - Sow continuously for a constant supply of lettuce. Best grown in cooler weather. Plant in full sun or partial shade.
