Poinsett 76 Cucumber, Organic
Southern Exposure Seed Exchange - Poinsett 76 is an improved version of Poinsett having multiple disease-tolerance. Developed by Clemson and Cornell for disease tolerance. Produces dark green cukes 7-8 in. long and 2½ in. in diameter. The best open-pollinated slicer for the Southeast and Mid-Atlantic coastal areas as a disease-resistant main crop garden variety.
Disease Resistance - Very good for resistance of Angular leaf spot, Anthracnose, Downy mildew, Powdery mildew, Spider mites
Instructions - Sow seeds outdoors in 12" diameter hills after the last frost when soil is warm. Space hills 6' apart in all directions. Can also be started indoors 2-4 weeks before the last frost for an earlier harvest. Cucumbers benefit from consistent moisture. Provide support for vines to save space.
