An updated take on a classic heirloom by-Dr. Terry Berke at the Asian Vegetable Research Center. Introduced by Southern Exposure in 1999. An extra-early, large wax, Hungarian sweet pepper with compact growth and concentrated fruit set. Dwarf plants are only 12-15 in. tall, yet produce an early yield of 7 fruits per plant on the first harvest. Thick-walled pointed bells, 2½ x 3½ in. Excellent variety for container gardens, early crops, and short-season areas. Pkt.

Instructions - Sow seeds indoors ¼” deep. Peppers germinate best in warm soil, so gentle bottom heat may be helpful until seedlings emerge. Wait to transplant outdoors until the soil is warm.
