This self-sowing annual—given to SSE co-founder Diane Ott Whealy by her Grandpa Ott who lived on a 40-acre farm in St. Lucas, Iowa—can climb to 15 feet tall, if given a support to grow on.

Instructions - Instructions - Plant seeds outdoors after the last frost. Seeds can be slightly chipped and soaked in warm water for 24 hours before planting for better results. Prefers full sun and moist average soil.
