'Emory Paul' Dahlia (Dinnerplate) If you want the LARGEST dinnerplate dahlia you can grow, then the 'Emory Paul' dinnerplate dahlia is for you.  The blossoms can measure almost 12" across.  The blossoms look stunning in your gardens and bouquets. We provide them in clumps the majority of the time. Sometimes they will be stand alone with necks and eyes depending on the season’s harvest.   Dinnerplate Dahlias are awesome additions to any garden. They provide structure and color to any garden with minimal effort. They do rather well in the back of your beds because of their size or even in stand-alone rows. Renee's Garden - These split-petal vining nasturtiums date from the 19th century. Their unique petals, shaped like little flames, stand out in a kaleidoscope of colors against ivy-shaped leaves. Carefree Phoenix blooms absolutely nonstop, covering the foliage with both bright and pastel blossoms in crimson-red, rich gold, fiery orange, warm cream and soft peach, many brushed with burnished copper at the petal base. Renee's Garden - No lavender lover should be without White Ice, our award-winning hardy white Lavender, bred by our most respected Dutch seed producers. These compact, softly vase-shaped plants grow 12 to 14 inches tall and, if started early, they reliably begin flowering the first season from seed. The fragrant white flower bracts have an especially sweet, clear lavender scent. Long blooming White Ice shows off beautifully in patio pots and is particularly striking at the front of garden borders. Keep evenly moist but not soggy. Seedlings emerge slowly and unevenly over 18 to 28 days. Provide a good light source. When seedlings have several sets of leaves, transplant into 4-inch plastic pots. Provide consistent water, but let the soil dry out on top between waterings. Feed every few weeks. Plant outside when plants are 2 to 3 inches tall after gradually acclimating to outdoors. The Seed Savers Exchange - The edible pods of this variety add zest (and color!) to stir-fries and salads and can also be eaten raw or pickled. Plants produce striking, long, moderately pungent purple pods that are best harvested when less than 6" long but remain tender even when larger. Lovely white flowers have violet veins and a violet tinge at petal margins. Plants do not form roots, and pods have some variation in pod color, with green or purple-green sometimes manifesting. 45 days to first pods from sowing. Organic.
