The cucamelon is a novely cucumber that is sought after for its unique flavor. Charles Victor Naudin, a French botanist, first recorded the cucamelon in 1866. It ended up with the name cucamelon as they gained in popularity.  Mexican Sour Gherkin or Mexcian Sour Cucumber are names they mostly go by. They go by mouse melon and pepquinos as well. We try to stock organic but sometimes only conventional is available.  You can eat this raw or pickle it with peppers, cucumbers, or garlic. When it easily comes off the vine it is ready to pick for tassting its on the vine pickled flavor. When it is still underripe, it tastes like cucumbers.
