Our own mix of fully double, rich red, and snowy white many-petaled zinnias that bloom on branching, long-stemmed, 3–3 1/2 foot plants to celebrate every special occasion in the garden. Contrast in gardens can be everything and Alocaisa Upright Plumbea Nigra will do that for you. The massive dark leaves will capture your attention and help provide focal points and interest in your gardens. They are hardy to USDA Zones 8-11 only and will be need to be lifted or protected in other climates. 'Cafe Au Lait' Dahlia (Dinnerplate) - The blossoms hues of whites and pinks will brighten your landscape and arrangements. I recommend starting this variety 2-3 months ahead of the last frost as it seems to be one of the last ones to bloom every year. The color and bloom structure will vary until the cool weather sets in. We grew out quite a few this year for some weddings and have had a good harvest. Dinnerplate Dahlias are awesome additions to any garden. They provide structure and color to any garden with minimal effort. They do rather well in the back of your beds because of their size or even in stand-alone rows. They reward gardeners with an abundance of blooms starting in mid to late summer through frost. Typically they are not bothered by diseases and have attractive foliage until frost. Characteristics 30”-50” in height Blooms are 6-8” wide USDA Zones 8-10 (Hardy in these zones, lift and store in winter in other zones) Summer to Fall Bloom Duration: Continuous Blooms through frost starting in mid to late summer Full Sun to Partial Shade Additional Information Great for Mass Plantings, Borders, and Cutting Gardens. Double variety tulips are hard to find in an average garden but when you do, they make you stop as they are absolutely gorgeous and stand out. Use in rock gardens, containers, beds and borders or anywhere else you want to appreciate their peony or rose like appearance.
