Chives are a universal love in the garden - they brighten up our meals, the blossoms bring spring cheer (and great in cooking too) and are very low maintenance. You can use them in the kitchen and they keep coming back or simply let them be as border. Perennial in zones 3-9. We source ours from our seed labels - Seedsavers Exchange, Southern Exposure or High Mowing Organics.

Instructions - Sow seeds indoors ¼" deep. Transplant outdoors as soon as soil can be worked in spring. Chives are also easy to direct seed. Established plants can easily be divided in both spring and fall. Remove spent blossoms regularly to prolong blooming.

Garlic Chives, Organic

Garlic chives are essentially garlic flavored chives. It is nice to get a fresh garlic flavor early in the season. The leaves are flatter in apperance and the flowers are white. In fact there is the wya most people can tell them apart from regular chives. The flowers form in late summer which is also an easy way to tell them apart from their cousins. Perennial in zones 4-8.
