- Bloom Time: Typically 6–10 weeks after planting, depending on the variety and room temperature.
- Light Requirements: Prefers bright, indirect sunlight to prevent the flower stalks from stretching too tall.
- Hardiness: Tropical (tender); must be kept indoors in northern climates like USDA Zone 4.
- Expert Tip (The Re-Bloom Secret): Don't throw your bulb away after it finishes blooming! Cut the spent flower stalks but leave the green leaves. Keep it watered and fertilized through the summer (even outdoors in the shade), then give it a "nap" in a cool, dark basement for 8 weeks starting in September. This triggers the bulb to produce new flowers just in time for the holidays!
