A wonderful cut flower and bedding plant in diverse shades of blue, pink, white, and lavender. High Mowing Organic - Large 2" flowers on well-branched plants. SOLD OUT -This one went fast, and it looks like our seed suppliers are all of it at the moment.  The Seed Savers Exchange - (Mimosa pudica) The ornamental pinnate leaves of this Brazilian species close when touched by children (or adults, who also cannot resist them). This pea relative bears lilac-pink spherical flowers which precede the development of its seed pods and does best when watered sparingly and from below. The species is tough and well suited to containers, but one must be careful not to “tickle it to death.” Tender annual, 8-10" tall.  Characteristics:  Tender, annual plants grow to 10 inches tall Lilac-pink flowers Great for container gardens Leaves close when touched 25 Seeds per packet Instructions: Soak the seeds in hot tap water for 20 minutes before sowing. Feathery fern-like foliage reaching a height of 15-20'. Hundreds of blooms throughout the season, a favorite with hummingbirds. For sunny spots, fences, or pots. Half-hardy annual.
