'Ace Summer Sunset' Dahlia (Dinnerplate) from $8.99 $9.99
'Ace Summer Sunset' has beautiful colors of pinks and oranges.  The blossoms will dazzle you in your garden. And your vases will never look the same with these beauties in them.  We provide them in clumps the majority of the time. Sometimes they will be stand alone with necks and eyes depending on the season’s harvest.   Dinnerplate Dahlias are awesome additions to any garden. They provide structure and color to any garden with minimal effort. They do rather well in the back of your beds because of their size or even in stand-alone rows. They reward gardeners with an abundance of blooms starting in mid to late summer through frost.  Typically they are not bothered by diseases and have attractive foliage until frost.  Characteristics 40-50" tall Blooms are 8-12” wide USDA Zones 8-10 (Hardy in these zones, lift and store in winter in other zones) Summer to Fall Bloom Duration: Continuous Blooms through frost starting in mid to late summer Full Sun Additional Information Great for Specimen, Mass Plantings, Borders, and Cutting Gardens. 'Allegro' Melody Dahlias are great for containers and edges of borders. Their 16" height makes them easy to care for and place on patios and porches. No need to pinch back as they stay compact right from the start. Arroyo Lupine - California Native $3.00 $3.75
Arroyo Lupine is a California native that is found from Southern California to just north of San Franciso. It is an annual blooms the first year from seed. Pair with yellow lupine for lovely contrasting native blooms. Itis reseeds itself for blooms the following year. Hummingbirds and butterflies love this plant.  Gardeners love the east drough tolerant nature of this plant. Big Bluestem is a giant of the prairies! It’s what was the backbone of much of the prairies. It’s vital for native wildlife. It is native from the Rocky Mountains to the Atlantic Ocean. Its nickname is Turkey Foot as the seeds can look like a turkey’s foot.  Lush green 3-8' plants change color at first frost to red and copper tones that provides winter interests. Grows well in all soil types, just not standing water. Hardy to zone 3. Black-Eyed Susan - Prairie Native from $3.00 $3.95
We offer this fabulous U.S. Native in various ways.  Best known of all the prairie flowers and the easiest to grow. A single plant can produce hundreds of blooms over the summer and into the fall. Excellent cut flower with 6-10 days of vase life. Plants grow 2-3'. Self-seeding biennial or hardy annual. Hardy to zone 3. Rudebckia Hirta is its common name and you will find the Glorioso Daisy that also has the same name.
