Badger Flame Beets - A Wisconsin bred beet that is known for its sweet flavor without the earthy taste. Beets are known for their earthy flavors due to geosmin in the root. Badger Flame has very low levels of geosmin so the earthly flavors are not present and all you get is the sweetness of the beet.  Supplies are limited.

Created by Irwin Goldman of the Univeristy of Wisconsin in Madison. It is open-pollinated but is a protected variety.
