Cosmic Purple Carrot, Organic, 2005 Wisconsin Origin

Cosmic Purple carrots are one of my favorite treats to pull out of the earth. The dark purple skins quickly part to reveal a bright orange flesh underneath. 

Cosmic Purple carrots were developed in Madison, WI and released in 2005. Dr. Simon and his staff at the USDA Research Center in Madison bred these beauties for us to enjoy today. 

We stock these carrots from various seed companies. We strive for small companies who practice organic methods.  Right now we stock from High Mowing or Southern Exposure Seed Exchange.

Instructions - Sow seeds outdoors before 3-4  weeks of last frost or soil can be worked. Optimal temperature is 65 degrees.
