SOLD OUT - Seed Exchange - Sweet and tender with a good texture, this kale has purple veins and blue-green leaves that also put on quite a show. Charlie Hughes of County Mayo, Ireland, has grown this variety since the 1930s and gave it to Irish Seed Savers in 1993. Charlie received it from his father, Owen, who obtained it from a neighbor who had brought it to Ireland from America. 50-60 days from transplant

    Instructions - Sow seeds indoors ¼" deep. Plant out just before the last frost. Kale is most tender and delicious after a frost. Harvest can continue even after snow.
