Firefly Farm & Mercantile's Shirley Corn Poppy Mix come in many shades of pinks, reds, whites, and even bi-colored combinations of those. They welcome visitors to our gardens as we often have them in tough places to help get some cover for our natives we are establishing. They self-seed until other perennials crowd them out making them good companions for wildflower mixes. . Botanical name is Papaver rhoeas

Instructions - Sow seeds directly into a finely textured garden bed in full sun as early in spring as ground can be worked. The cold and moist conditions are needed to stratify the seed. To help space the fine seeds, mix with dry sand before sowing. Cover very lightly with fine soil and keep seed bed moist as seedlings emerge over 7 to 14 days Poppies can be started indoors as transplants but direct seeding is best and HIGHLY Recommended
