Stevia Herb
Nature's sweetner - Every leaf has the sweetness of that Stevia is known for but since it is not an extract it is not as sweet. Many will dry this herb and crush into a powder to use to naturally sweeten drinks and dishes. The FDA has approved its use as a dietary supplement. A sub-tropical plant that is cold sensitive at 50°F.
Characteristics:
- Grown as an annual but is a tender perennial,
- Plants grow to 3 feet tall
- Long, thin green leaves
- Leaves have a sweet flavor
- 20 seeds
Instructions -
Sow seeds indoors on the surface of the soil. Keep indoors until nighttime temperatures are consistently above 50°F. May then be transplanted outdoors or into pots. Prefers well-drained soil—do not overwater. Can be grown year-round in pots if given proper care.
