'Break Out' Dahlia (Dinnerplate) - The blossoms hues of whites, pinks and even some light buttery yellows will brighten your landscape and arrangements. Our 2025 harvest is so far exceeding our expectations. The tubers have done very well with thick necks. All dahlias are grown in Cashton, WI in our zone 4 farm. Stop and visit during the summer. It is a sight to see thousands of blooms! The Break Out Dahlia's height is around 40" - Dinnerplate Dahlias are awesome additions to any garden. They provide structure and color to any garden with minimal effort. They do rather well in the back of your beds because of their size or even in stand-alone rows. They reward gardeners with an abundance of blooms starting in m late summer through frost. Characteristics 40-48” in height Blooms are 6-12” wide USDA Zones 8-10 (Hardy in these zones, lift and store in winter in other zones) Summer to Fall Bloom Duration: Continuous Blooms through frost starting in mid to late summer Full Sun to Partial Shade Additional Information Great for Mass Plantings, Borders, and Cutting Gardens. Great for butterflies and other pollinators Ships starting by early April Key Planting Tips We plant dahlia tubers 4-6" deep. Cherish is a wonderful dahlia with beautful wine highlights on ivory to buttery lemon flowers. She is very productive. We grow all of our dahlias on our farm in Cashton, Wisconsin. We love having our late season heirloom gardens burst with colors from all of our dahlias. We currently raise over 20 types and offer around 40-50 types each year. We plant by hand and harvest by hand. This allows us to bring healthy tubers to the market and gives us many more checkpoints for inspecting our stock. AC White Rabbit is probably the most popular bicolor purple ball dahlia on the market today. She yields beautiful bi color purple and white blooms by the buckets. I grow all of Firefly Farm & Mercantile's dahlias on our farm in Cashton, WI. This allows us to bring amazingly healthy stocks. Characteristics 4-5” tall Blooms are 3-6” wide USDA Zones 8-10 (Hardy in these zones, lift and store in winter in other zones) Summer to Fall Bloom Duration: Continuous Blooms through frost starting in mid to late summer Full Sun to Partial Shade Additional Information Great for Mass Plantings, Borders, and Cutting Gardens. 'Ace Summer Sunset' Dahlia (Dinnerplate)

Alfresco Double White Blooms are beautiful and wonderful. Their innocence is breataking and goes with any Christmas attire. Alfresco is a smaller bulb and is 22/26 cm in circumference. We pride ourselves on our Jumbo Amaryllis but we understand it is nice to have a beautiful bloom and for a valued price. This allows you to have multipe bulbs in a setting for a breathtaking presentation. Amaryllis is commonly used when referring to Hippeastrum. These flowers are commonly used for winter time blooms for those of us up north while our southern customers get to enjoy these in winter and in the summer. Simply plant your bulbs, water, and give sunshine and in 6-8 weeks, you will have beautiful blossoms. You can keep your bulbs planted to enjoy their green leaves and bring them right outside at spring. They will bloom periodically. 'Alfresco' Hippeastrum, Amaryllis

The 'Alpha' gladiolus are always so popular in the store as this shade of purple is always so wonderful in the garden. We provide them in 12/14 cm bulbs (technically corms) so you get the best available. Gladiolus are deer, rabbits, and rodent resistant. Just make sure the first number (nitrogen) is 5 or 10. Or plant with a finished compost. Stagger your planting every 2 weeks so you can enjoy blooms continuously all summer. To lift and store for winter, simply go dig up corms after the foliage has faeded to yellow/brown. Separate the mother corm and compost/dispose and most of the time you will have two new corms. We sepearate those usually when we dig them up after we hose them off. Dry in a single layer out of the sun for a 10-14 days then we simply place in netting or crates for winter. They are not stored with any medium - this is partly why Grandma loved them so much.
