It is an essential food source for turkeys and other birds, host plant for various butterflies and helps to provide forage for bees and butterflies. Wild Senna loves full sun. It's range is East of the Mississippi with the exception of Florida and Mississippi. And is also found throughout Iowa. They have a double layer of blossoms but sit just in the perfect way that it looks like a cupcake wrapper and a cupcake. They are just so cute!
