The deep dark blossoms of Black Ship Lily finally delivers on a black lily, well almost - you get deep maroons to black lilies.  Most lilies are hues of deep purple or maroon. Black Ship really looks black on the shady days and a deep maroon color on sunny days. Blazingstar, Dense Blazingstar, Gayfeather Liatris Spicata from $3.00
A U.S. native that resides from the Mississippi eastwards to the Atlantic Liatris Spicata goes by Marsh Blazingstar as it prefers wet or rich garden soils. This is the most commonly seen native in gardens as its dense flowers and rich in nector and pollen. We offer it in seed year round or corms in the spring. Corms will allow you to see flowers the first year while seed will take 2-3 years to flower.  Blazing Star or Liatris Spicata will bloom all summer, provide food for butterflies, perform great in dry conditions, and naturalize well in sunny to partial sunny areas. 'Cafe Au Lait Royal' Dahlia (Dinnerplate), Limited Availability in 2026 This is a very popular dahlia as the soft rose blooms are prolific and strong perfromers.  Unlike their sibling, Cafe Au Lait, they are more predictable in their color hues. We grow all of our dahlias we offer on our farm.  The Cafe Au Lait Royal Dahlia's height is around 40" Dinnerplate Dahlias are awesome additions to any garden. They provide structure and color to any garden with minimal effort. They do rather well in the back of your beds because of their size or even in stand-alone rows.
