Freesia Double Yellow (20 bulbs) $8.99
We are allowing pre-orders for our customers who are in the south and like to plant them for early spring bloomsFreesia Double Yellow Beautiful blooms adorn each plant.  They bloom at a wonderful time when other plants are not at their peak.  Freesias are very easy to plant and care for.  We provide some of the largest bulbs in the industry which means bigger blooms for you.  Bloom times differ depending if you are in Zones 9-11 or 3-8.   Freesias are a tropical plant that are hardy in USDA Zones 9-11 and grown as annuals in the rest of the United States. In the zones they are hardy (9-11) you get blooms in the cooler months and they go dormant in the hotter months.  They need around 110 days to bloom from planting, so if you are in Zones 3 & 4, you will need to start in pots for the best success, much like cannas. Characteristics 12-18" tall USDA Zones 9-11 (Hardy in these zones, lift and store in winter in other zones) Bloom Duration: 2-4 weeks Full Sun or Partial Shade Additional Information Deer, Rodent, Rabbit and Squirrel Resistant  Great for Specimen, Mass Plantings, Borders, and Cutting Gardens. Great for butterflies and other pollinators We ship Freesias all year. We recevie our stock typically in the fall but keep them chilled.  Key Planting Tips Plant in full sun with 2” deep with the pointed end up. Space 2" apart for densely packed displays.
Gallery Cobra Dahlia (Gallery series - Great for Pots) from $8.99
'Gallery Cobra' Dahlias are great for containers and edges of borders. Their 16" height makes them easy to care for and place on patios and porches. No need to pinch back as they stay compact right from the start. Get a head start on spring by starting them 2-3 months before your last frost and they will bloom right into fall.  'Gallery Rembrandt' coppery tones are great for summer and fall color.  We provide them in clumps the majority of the time. Sometimes they will be stand alone with necks and eyes depending on the season’s harvest.   Characteristics 16” tall (Many people pinch back to encourage a bushier, shorter plant) Blooms are 2-3” wide USDA Zones 8-10 (Hardy in these zones, lift and store in winter in other zones) Summer to Fall Bloom Duration: Continuous Blooms through frost starting in mid to late summer Full Sun to Partial Shade Additional Information Great for Containers and Borders Great for butterflies and other pollinators Ships starting in mid to late March Key Planting Tips Plant in full sun crown 1-2” below the soil.  Space ball dahlias about 2’ apart from any neighbor. Plant when the soil is 60 degrees, well past any frost danger. Dahlias love soil that is close to neutral and do well in slightly acidic or slightly alkaline soils. You can amend soil with 10-10-10 or something similar. Just make sure the first number (nitrogen) is 5 or 10. You can fertilize every 4 weeks to help achieve large blossoms. Don’t water until the Dahlia sprouts. If your soil is very dry, water the soil first and then let it stand for 30 minutes before planting. Mulch around your plant leaving bare dirt directly above the tuber.
