Lilies (Lilium family)

Solution is a white oriental lily with red to pink speckles along its petals. What is unique about Solution is that she lacks a prominent red stripe down the center of the blossom. many cultivars have the red freckles but also has a prominent red stripe down its blossom's center. The best way to get a longer season for lilies is to plant many different types and heights. It’s possible to get 10 weeks of blooms but only if you include varieties of all lily types.  Oriental Lilies are probably the most popular type of lily. The fragrant blooms are a favorite in summer.  They are dependable bloomers year after year as long as you provide fertilizer or rich compost when you plant them, right after they bloom and early spring. We are still trying to find this one! Our previous grower sold a little too many to be able to offer it for 2024. Pumilum Lily or the Coral Lily is a charming Turk's Cap lily. Once mature every stem will produce 20-30 blooms. The deep dark blossoms of Black Ship Lily finally delivers on a black lily, well almost - you get deep maroons to black lilies.  Most lilies are hues of deep purple or maroon. Black Ship really looks black on the shady days and a deep maroon color on sunny days.
